California Funders for Boys and Men of Color is excited to share the addition of our newest member, Sobrato Philanthropies! The Silicon Valley-based family foundation partners with communities to meet immediate needs, address systemic barriers, and pursue social justice to build a more equitable and sustainable world.
Sobrato’s English Learner Program, which aims to uplift English Learner students in California’s education policies and systems, aligns with our strategy to improve educational outcomes for boys and men of color throughout California.
We look forward to collaborating with Doua Thor, Vice President of Strategy and Influence and Robert Medina, Program Director for English Learners at Sobrato Philanthropies.
As a network, we strive to remove barriers that interrupt the healthy development and success of boys and men of color and create a California where they can thrive. With Sobrato Philanthropies joining as our newest member, we’ll deepen our place-based strategies for English Learners with a radical intention of empowering boys and men of color to achieve their full potential.
